Maureen O'Hara Biography
Maureen O'Hara was a renowned American performer and actress from Irish origin. Her fiery, passionate performances she appeared in myriad of American films were admired by the beautiful green-eyed beauty sporting flaming hair and flaming eyes. Her beautiful and glamour was much appreciated and she was known as the "Queen of Technicolor' in Hollywood. The characters she played on screen reflected her own brave, strong spirit who was fighting for recognition and survival in this male-dominated world. She often referred to herself as the "tough Irish lass" who did not compromise her reputation and respect to land the roles she deserved through merit. Throughout her career in the field of film she was always vocal against discrimination and injustice of women actors. Because of this, she gained a lot of followers. The autobiography 'Tis Herself', written by her', published in 2004, provided an honest and honest story of her entire life's experiences, including the difficulties in climbing the ladder to achieve success. She was an active woman who was not frightened of making her own mistakes. She appeared as an actress in over 60 films in the past and was the recipient of a fair amount of international recognition. After she left Parra and getting married, she met Charles F. Blair Jr. in 1968. Blair was a brigadier in the past and chief pilot and an early pioneer in transatlantic aviation. In the early years of their union, O'Hara decided to finally end her retirement. The joy she felt was only temporary because Blair passed away in a tragic plane crash in 1978. In the same year she was diagnosed with uterine carcinoma and required immediate surgery. She was capable of recovering. She had six heart attacks, short-term memory loss and type 2 diabetes in the subsequent years. On 24 October 2015, O'Hara peacefully expired in Boise, Idaho, from natural causes at 95.
