Rita Ora Bio

Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. She is the grandchild of director Besim Sahatciu. Her family relocated to the United Kingdom at age 1. Her home was West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School, Earls Court. After that she was able to graduate from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing from a young age.In 2004 she appeared in the British film Spivs. The film featured her audition for Eurovision The Country That Needs You which was a British contestant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However, she pulled out of the contest after only a few episodes because she didn't feel like she was ready. In 2007 Ora made her debut music album when she performed on the track of Craig David titled "Awkward" as well as in 2008 with "Where's Your Love" with Tinchy Stryder. she also appeared in the music video. Ora began singing in bars across London. Roc Nation was informed by an A&R representative about Ora in 2009, just days following Ora traveled to New York and met Jay-Z. Ora was featured in Jay-Z’s 2009 music video "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z was attracted to Ora's talents and quietly signed the singer to Roc Nation. In which Ora was included in a commercial for Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik owned a bar and she started her singing career in that same bar. The singer cites Gwen Stefani as a major influence on her manner of speaking, and her No Doubt band's "Don't Speak" (1996) as one of her most cherished songs.Her 2016 video for Tezenis, The Silk Code, is the title of a novel which won the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel of 1999.She was seriously considered for the role of Iris West in Justice League (2017) before Kiersey Clemons was selected. Kate Moss and Ed Sheeran have been friends for a while.
