Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Francesca Wright was born 17 February 1991. She is a model, actress, and director from England. Her most well-known role is that of Ginny Weasley, the Harry Potter film series's main character. Born in London, Wright portrayed the character for a decade until she was cast in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II (2011). Wright was in a variety of independent films including Before I Sleep (2013) and The Sea (2013). The films were met with mixed reviews. Wright was the stage's first main character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with an undergraduate degree in filmmaking. Following her graduation from the University of the Arts London in 2012, she began making short films with her production company BonBonLumiere. Her first film she directed was, the coming-of age drama Separate We Come and Separate We Go (2012). It was released at the Cannes Film Festival to great praise from critics. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016) starring Christian Coulson and Sextant (2016). Both films used landscape and emotion as the themes. Wright's three-part series Phone Calls, which was presented at Tribeca Film Festival 2017, included three episodes. Medusa’s Ankles (2018) The film stars Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and based upon A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She also produced music videos for Scarlett Johansson, Pete Yorn and Sophie Lowe. Wright has been a spokesperson for Greenpeace and Lumos and has been recognized for her environmental advocacy.
