Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8, 1985) is a Canadian actress. Most well-known is her appearances on ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama in the role of Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress was born Maya Hartwell. She starred in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is from Polish descent and spent one time in Poland in the ninth grade. Her family was there through her uncle, and she attended Jelenia Gora School. She went on to attend Vancouver Film School. After her brother introduced her the Pulp Fiction, she became fascinated by acting. In 2002, she began her first appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She also appeared briefly on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she played acting in the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she was a guest star as Andy Jensen in Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to portray Lacy Rand in Caprica's telecast drama starring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. Later, she appeared in the show Hellcats. In 2012, she starred in the role of Emily in Jane Espenson's second season of her web series of romantic comedy Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the character of Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. While it was filmed in 2012, The Green Inferno was internationally released in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science fiction thriller film Volition. The film premiered in 2020.In 2019, Apanowicz was cast in the recurring role of Sandy in the second season of the Netflix action film You.
