Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American actor
from America. Her role includes daytime television as well as episodic guest
performances and television-friendly films. Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award in
1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap series General Hospital. Since
2013, she has appeared as Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and The
Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) to Susan Sofer and Martin
Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative Rabbi. Her family later relocated to
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until when, following the divorce of her parentsshe
emigrated with her brother and father David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970.
But, by the time Sofer was just five years old, they resided in Western
Pennsylvania. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father ran the
Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Then, she went to the Frisch School in Paramus, New
Jersey, which is an co-educational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer
was born in North Bergen where her father was the rabbi at synagogue Temple
Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School in 1998, she
continued her studies at Montclair State College. Sofer was the first to play
Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as the manager of
the band. Her first major role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap show
Loving (1988-91). Perhaps her most famous role is Lois Cerullo, a nurse on
General Hospital from December 15 the 24th of September 1993 to September 24
the 24th of September, 1996. She was later guest star (February 7-17, 1997;
September 30 - October 2, 1997). Her portrayal of the comical Lois was a huge
hit and earned Sofer an award. Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for the role of
Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. Sofer was asked to be a part
of CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in the role she had just created
as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired on July 12. Sofer has appeared in
numerous popular prime-time television shows in a supporting cast member or
guest star role: Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin
City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
