Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. She began her career in productions for television and film such as
"Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Later, she
worked on such projects as Double Dare (1976). Also, she has appeared in TV
shows such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra
Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most notable TV role was that of
"Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). From 1984 until 1992, she
was part of 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a
poet and a well-known nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November
14 1918 to April 7 15th, 2015). Alongside her second husband Michael A. Ross,
she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1986) and Daisy Ross (30
March 1990). Her birthplace was Palo alto, California and grew up near Walnut
Creek in California. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School in Walnut
Creek, California. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her
a Bachelor of Arts degree. She performed a few trick roping in The Wildest West
Show of the Stars (1986). The ashes of her were returned to Michael A. Ross,
her husband. She was a lifelong Democrat. Markie Post passed away on 7 August
2021, three months before what would have been her 71st birthday, which was on
November 4. She died just 27 days after Charles Robinson, her Night Court
(1984), co-star, died on July 11 2021. Though they were two completely distinct
shows, Night Court (1984), in which she was a co-star was cancelled in 1992,
with Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) where
Post was a new character Georgie lahti (who also, coincidentally, had been
employed in Washington DC before moving to smaller areas) was released in 1992.
