Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who previously worked as an anchor for television at ABC News. She is best
known for her work as cohost on Good Morning America Weekend, from 2014 to
2018, and host of The View, 2015-2018. Prior to this, she hosted World News Now
and America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the limited opportunities for television,
she was offered the position of an agent for sales at radio. Then she was able
to work for an entire year as a production assistant at WKEF/WRGT . She then
occasionally anchor and report. She was the weekend anchor and weekday sports
anchors at WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002 until 2005. She was a sports reporter
for the NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV between November 2005 and December
2011, when her contract was terminated. In December 2011, she was hired by ABC
News the division for news of ABC. The 2nd of January, 2012 she made her debut
on the ABC network's World News Now and America This Morning. She was a
correspondent as well as fill-in for Good Morning America during this time. In
the following years she was made a New York-based correspondent on every ABC
News programs. The program was not able for her to finish the final show of
World News Now or America This Morning. The show aired on January 22nd in 2013.
Her debut was on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor, September 9, 2014.
This came after Bianna Golodryga shifted to Yahoo! News. News. It was announced
on August 3 this year that she had been renewed for for the 20th season. She
was also confirmed as co-host for Season 21. She was most well-known in the
22nd and 21st seasons of the show.
