Natalie Dormer
was born on 11 February 1982. She is an English actress. Her nominations
include an Empire Award, nominations for an Critics' Choice Award as well as
two Gemini Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in
Reading, Berkshire. She was known in the role of Anne Boleyn, a role she played
on the Showtime series The Tudors (2008), which earned her widespread acclaim.
Her stage debut was in the musical Sweet Nothings (2010). In Madonna's W.E.,
she played the Duchess as well as York. (2011), Private Lorraine in Captain
America The First Avenger (2011). After Miss Julie (2012) at the Young Vic, was
highly applauded. Dormer earned international attention and acclaim for playing
Margaery Tyrell in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in
the two final segments of The Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015) that are her
top-grossing movies. She also played Irene Adler/Moriarty in the CBS series
Elementary (2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price (2016, 2017) and Onica in The Dark
Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). Her performance was praised for her leading
role in the miniseries Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020). Dormer was born
in Reading (Berkshire), England on February 11, 1982. She is the daughter of
Gary Dormer, Claire Richards and Samantha Dormer.
