Rose McGowan

"Rose" McGowan (born on the 5th of September, 1973) is an American
actress and activist. McGowan made her debut film debut in 1992 with Encino Man
(1992), and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995
for her performance as the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). Her
breakthrough came in the film horror Scream (1996) and subsequently headlined
the films Going All the Way (1997) Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker
(1999). McGowan was well-known for her role in Charmed which was a supernatural
drama on WB from 2001 to the year 2006. McGowan also appeared in Quentin
Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) which
for which she received nominations both for the Saturn Award as Best Actress
and the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. She was a part of the
action-thriller series Chosen (2014) and released her debut studio album,
Planet 9, in 2018 and was followed by a revamp in 2020. In 2017, Time named
McGowan one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year for
speaking out against sexual assault and harassment specifically with regard to
the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases as well as the Me Too movement. Brave
is her memoir. Citizen Rose was her documentary series. Both of these were
released in 2018.
